Track Tuesday


Workouts from last week:
  • Monday - 3 mile run on the treadmill, 30 min @ 10 pace
  • Wednesday - 8.5 mile bike, 36 min @ 14.2mph pace
  • Thursday - 5 mile run, 48 min @ 9:31 pace
  • Saturday - 6 mile run 1:01 @ 10:14 pace (with my 8 year old biking next to me)
  • 100 ab exercises daily for Love My Abs challenge

I'm really happy to be back to biking...it's been too long for me.  Here we are...Denise and I on our first 20 mile ride of the year.


Today was my first time doing interval training.  Yea, that first interval sucked!  But I got used to them and the time actually went by very quickly.  We rested (walked) for 2 minutes in between each lap.  Here's my breakdown.

Warm up
Distance: 1.01 miles
Time: 11:23
Pace: 11:13

Lap 1
Distance: 0.25 mile
Time: 1:49
Pace: 7:17

Lap 2
Distance: 0.25 mile
Time: 1:57
Pace: 7:49

Lap 3
Distance: 0.25 mile
Time: 1:54
Pace: 7:37

Lap 4
Distance: 0.25 mile
Time: 1:55
Pace: 7:40

Cool down
Distance: 1.00 mile
Time: 10:30
Pace: 10:30

  3. Great job doing your speed work! I've grown to like intervals, only because I feel so proud of myself afterwards. :) And they really do help you improve your speed!
