12 Weeks of Revolt Fitness

I completed 12 weeks of the Revolt Fitness program.  Go ME!  Other than running, that's the longest I've stuck with a fitness program.  Revolt really does make it easy with short workout videos lasting about 30 minutes and an easy to follow meal plan with normal food.

This is my last week blogging about Revolt Fitness but I plan to stay with the program. I do love it and have everything I need at home.

I really don't want to post before and after pictures.  Those just don't need to be out there for the world to see.  But I will post my total stats.

I'm afraid this is the most you'll get as far as an after picture goes...one half of me in a 2 piece bathing suit. This is from July 12 when I was in Jamaica.  I can say that after my weeks with Revolt, I'm ok with having bathing suit pictures "out there" which was not the case before Revolt.

I hope you've enjoyed learning about Revolt Fitness and following my journey over the past 12 weeks.

Revolt Fitness costs $10 a month. There are no sign up fees or contracts and you may cancel at any time. That's cheaper than a gym and you workout in the comfort of your own home.

Revolt Fitness Week of July 8

For the week of July 8th, I was on vacation in Jamaica.  I had every intention of doing my Revolt Fitness workouts, really I did.  I brought workout clothes, shoes and my tablet to watch the videos.  This was a kid free vacation so I knew all my time was my own.

What's the saying about best laid plans....  The resort did have a gym but only the lobby had Wi-Fi.  Our room didn't even have Wi-Fi.  I could have printed out the workout sheets but that didn't happen.  Oh well!  It was a much needed break!  I did use my tennis shoes....to climb Dunn's River Falls (instead of renting water shoes).

Like I said, this was an all inclusive resort, including alcohol (YEAH!).  On about the third day, I thought about how many calories might be in the pina coladas I was drinking.  I'll just add that to the desserts I had at every meal.  Seriously good food!!

Here are my numbers from a week of poor eating and a lot of laying around on the beach.

I'm hoping that's just extra water weight and it disappears this week.  I'm back to the workouts and clean eating (almost).

Do you eat well while on vacation?

Here my numbers for the week of June 24.

Revolt Fitness Week of June 17

I still love my Revolt Fitness!  It's Wednesday and time for my weekly results...no real change from last week.  I've really slacked on my meal prep since I'm home with the boys for summer.  I did so well when I had to take my lunch to work with me everyday.  Now that I know my problem area, I must fix it!

Revolt 2.4, Fitness is 80% Nutrition

Last weekend I finished up my second week with Revolt Fitness.  I am loving the workouts each day!  They are quick (usually about 20-30 minutes) and easy to follow but certainly not easy.  I work up a sweat in those 30 minutes.

At the beginning of each video, Nichole goes through each exercise so you're familiar with what we're doing.  There are three different workout levels for each video that allow you to customize an intensity that's right for your fitness level.  I'm at level 2 which is for people who normally exercise moderately, 2-3x a week.

I followed the workout schedule for last week and even got in a 17 mile bike ride but I slacked when it came to following the meal plan exactly.  Here's why...I didn't make all of my meals ahead of time; it was Teacher Appreciation Week at work so there were goodies everyday and special lunches; and it was Mother's Day.  Triple whammy week for me!  Yes those are excuses but I've already told you, food is my fitness downfall.  I shared this photo on facebook last week to remind myself of this fact.

I did make tasty, muffin-tin eggs.  I've seen them on Pinterest and was excited that a similar recipe was on my Revolt meal plan.  Breakfast was the one meal I got right last week.

Egg whites, onion and spinach (then topped with salsa)

Here are my stats for week 2 of Revolt Fitness.  I feel great!  I also decided not to measure body fat % each week.  I'll do that measurement at the end of this Uprising.

Want to Revolt with me?  There are no sign up fees or contracts and you may cancel at any time. It's cheaper than a gym and you workout in the comfort of your own home.
The third Uprising starts in June and I'd love to have some of you join me!  More details coming soon.

Revolt 2.3

Last week I finished week 3 of Revolt Fitness's second Uprising.  I'll call it 2.3 (Uprising 2, Week 3).  Each Revolt Fitness Uprising is a 6 week fitness and meal program.  This was my first full week on the program.

The program is 5 days a week with an optional rest day on Wednesday and a mandatory rest day on Sunday .  Monday, Thursday and Saturday I did cardio: giant circuits.  Tuesday was lower body and Friday was upper body.  After Monday's cardio with lots of squats and Tuesday's lower body workout, I could barely walk.  I hurt for a couple of days...squatting down to pick something up, making it down to sit on the toilet seat.  OUCH!  Who knows what I'm talking about?  It was a good hurt.  I definitely knew which muscles were worked and they were ones that needed working!

Saturday is also the grocery shopping day for the following week. Sunday is the food prep day. You are suppose to prep all the meals for the week.  The food prep didn't quite happened for me last week.  I prepared my meals day by day.  It would have been extremely helpful if I had done food prep on Sunday for my breakfasts and lunches.  I must do better at food prep because food is where I fail.

The meal plan is the same for the entire week.  The same breakfast and lunch all week work for me but I can't feed my family the same dinner 6 nights out of the week.  So since it's a six week program, I've chosen dinners from other weeks.  I'm able to substitute similar meals or foods.

Here are my stats after one week...

I'm on week four now so check back next Wednesday to see how I do!

Are you following a fitness plan?  How do you stay on a meal plan without slipping?

Revolt Now Fitness

Revolt Fitness was created by Nichole Huntsman, a mom of four kids. After the weight gains and losses of having kids, Nichole was ready to transform her body into the body she wanted.

After succeeding at transforming her body, Nichole used her years of experience and fitness knowledge to created Revolt Fitness as a way for others to get in shape and be healthy.  Revolt provides members with weekly workouts and meal plans that change each week to keep them exciting and fresh.  The workouts are 20-30 minutes long 5 days a week.

Revolt is an online membership that costs less then $10 a month.

Check out Nichole's video about why she started Revolt Fitness!

I'm taking the Revolt challenge to rise up against my "before" picture which may never make it to this very public blog for all the world to see.  I'm not overweight, my BMI is in the normal range.  Even my body fat percentage is in the healthy range.  But, is this the body I want?  Am I confident and proud to walk around in a bikini?  NO!!  I would definitely like to add lean muscle and loose body fat so I joined Revolt's Second Uprising in week 3 of the 6 week program.  I started April 29!

In the past, my downfall of any fitness program is food.  Yes, most fitness programs suggest meals to eat, but it just doesn't happen.  We eat relatively healthy already so I wouldn't take the time to find the recipes in the books provided.  I know losing weight is about 80% diet.  I guess that's why I'm stuck at my current weight.

Revolt gives me a meal plan each week.  It tells me what to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks and even a dessert.  I need that.  I need someone to tell me what to eat at every meal.  The program also stresses the importance of a grocery shopping day and a meal prep day.  That way you have all your food for the week in the house and ready to eat so you're less likely to slip up.

I love that the daily workouts are 30 minutes or less and boy do I sweat in those 30 minutes.  The workouts are online so I don't have to worry about new DVDs with each new workout.

I'm making Wednesday my official weigh-in and measurement day.  Check back to see how my first week went.
