12 Weeks of Revolt Fitness

I completed 12 weeks of the Revolt Fitness program.  Go ME!  Other than running, that's the longest I've stuck with a fitness program.  Revolt really does make it easy with short workout videos lasting about 30 minutes and an easy to follow meal plan with normal food.

This is my last week blogging about Revolt Fitness but I plan to stay with the program. I do love it and have everything I need at home.

I really don't want to post before and after pictures.  Those just don't need to be out there for the world to see.  But I will post my total stats.

I'm afraid this is the most you'll get as far as an after picture goes...one half of me in a 2 piece bathing suit. This is from July 12 when I was in Jamaica.  I can say that after my weeks with Revolt, I'm ok with having bathing suit pictures "out there" which was not the case before Revolt.

I hope you've enjoyed learning about Revolt Fitness and following my journey over the past 12 weeks.

Revolt Fitness costs $10 a month. There are no sign up fees or contracts and you may cancel at any time. That's cheaper than a gym and you workout in the comfort of your own home.

Sign up for a FREE week at Revolt Fitness.  Find out if Revolt is the program for you!  You will have access to a start up guide, 1 week of workouts/videos with 3 different fitness levels, and 1 week of meal plan with 6 different calorie levels.

BEJEWELED Frenzy Review

Summer break is here but I refuse to let my boys be TV and video game zombies.  Of course there are days they watch/play longer than I'd like, but once in awhile is ok.  This summer we are also reading, staying active and playing board games.

My boys and I received the new Hasbro game BEJEWELED Frenzy.  It's for 2-4 players, ages 8+. BEJEWELED Frenzy is a sparkly card game where kids race to match gems and build the largest stack of cards. Kids will love competing with their friends to collapse their stack, collect Boost Gems and score the most points to win!

It's a fun game!  Dylan, my 9 year old, enjoyed it more than Jared, my 12 year old.  They both got the hang of the game quickly but needed help with two of the colors that had a similar gem shape (both my boys are red/green color blind).  This would be a great game for the car or vacation since it has a game case which keeps all cards and gems in place.
Approximate Retail Price is $14.99.

Revolt Fitness Week of June 17

I still love my Revolt Fitness!  It's Wednesday and time for my weekly results...no real change from last week.  I've really slacked on my meal prep since I'm home with the boys for summer.  I did so well when I had to take my lunch to work with me everyday.  Now that I know my problem area, I must fix it!

Longhorn Steakhouse [Flavorful Under 500]

I had the opportunity to visit Longhorn Steakhouse for dinner with my fellow blogger and good friend Denise.  Longhorn has a fantastic menu including a dinner menu with meals under 500 calories.  In their Flavorful Under 500 section you get an entree, fresh vegetables or green beans and a salad for under 500 calories.  It's so nice to have healthy options when dining out.

We started out with delicious appetizers (not from the Flavorful Under 500 menu).

I really enjoyed the Wild West Shrimp.  It had a little bit of a spicy kick but not too spicy for me to enjoy...I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy food.

Chilled Shrimp Cocktail is always a winner in my book.  These large seasoned shrimp did not disappoint!

The Grilled White Cheddar Stuffed Mushrooms looked divine.  I can't comment on the flavor because I didn't taste this appetizer as I don't like mushrooms.

Spinach Dip!!  I could have eaten this all night!  Longhorn's Spinach Dip was so tasty.

Now on to the main course.  I ordered off of the Flavorful Under 500 menu...did you see all the appetizers I tried above.  A lower calorie but flavorful dinner was what I needed.  I ordered the Napa Grilled Chicken.  It was two small chicken breasts topped with artichoke hearts, roasted tomatoes and a white wine herb sauce (I omited the mushrooms).  It was fantastic!  The tender chicken melted in my mouth.  The artichoke hearts and roasted tomatoes were a perfect pairing.

I also tried Denise's Sierra Chicken which was two small grilled chicken breasts topped with tomato-basil salsa.  This was also excellent but my favorite was my Napa Grilled Chicken.

Another option on the Flavorful Under 500 menu is Longhorn Salmon served over rice.

Dessert....this is where any low calorie meal was ruined!  But oh how I loved it!!  I'm sure you've seen the saying "I eat to run".  I'm definitely the opposite, I run to eat.
This heavenly dessert is the Salted Caramel Cake.  It had creamy salted caramel mousse layered between moist vanilla cake and topped with rich salted caramel and vanilla buttercream.  Magnifique!

We also tasted the Longhorn Dessert Sampler consisting of the Mountain Top Cheesecake, Caramel Apple Goldrush and Chocolate Stampede.  All delectable desserts but my favorite was still the Salted Caramel Cake.  YUM!

I thoroughly enjoyed my night out at Longhorn Steakhouse sampling many amazing dishes.  It's nice to have healthy, flavorful, low calorie options when eating out.

*Disclaimer: Longhorn Steakhouse provided me with all of the food sampled in return for my honest review of the meal.  All opinions shared are my own.
